In the summer of 2007, Frank and Pam sent their son to stay with a family in France for a few weeks, and then they hosted the French family’s kids in Georgia. That simple exchange opened the door to an ongoing friendship while providing a glimpse of how spiritually hard the soil can be in France. In much of French culture, Christianity is often viewed as little more than ancient mythology.
For more than a decade, God had been stirring Frank and Pam’s hearts for France. When retirement came, they sensed it was time to follow His lead. They relocated to France in June 2023 and spent their first year immersed in language and culture and building relationships with new friends and neighbors. Since then, Frank and Pam have launched a summer internship program in Chambéry, France to give American students the opportunity to minister, learn to live cross-culturally, and explore God’s call for them into missions.
Would you pray for Frank and Pam as they prepare for the 2026 summer internship in Chambéry? Pray also for ongoing conversations and relationships in France, where the spiritual ground is hard, but seeds are being planted.
