Sam and Lucy* are preparing for a mission trip to Southeast Asia, where they’ll work with young adults who have cognitive and developmental disabilities. Lucy, who has spent her career in vocational evaluation and job coaching, will be consulting at a ministry center that helps these young adults develop job and life skills. Sam, who is retired from a 35-year career with the U.S. Senate as a museum administrator, will support Lucy’s work, teach English, and engage with the local community and church.
Their trip will be for about seven weeks, from September 23 to November 11. They’ve previously visited the site on a vision trip and were deeply impressed by the holistic approach the program takes in training and supporting young adults. Both Sam and Lucy have been involved in missions throughout their lives. Now that they are more flexible with their time, they are excited to dedicate themselves more fully to this work. Thanks for supporting Sam and Lucy.
